Lombard Street & Japan Center | San Francisco

Assalamualaikum...

yes! the last post on San Franciso! :D haha

so on the last day of my stay at San Francisco, I tag along my supervisor since she told me that I can follow her with her cousin which came all the way from Los Angeles to meet her and send us back to the airport...since there are a big gap before our flight which mine was at 5pm and my supervisor was at 4pm, so her cousin brought us to quite a few places before send us back to the airport...

the first destination was Pier 1 from where we walk along until Pier 5

one day if I come to US again, I will for sure go to Golden Gate Bridge using this ferry!

while walking, we took a pit stop to take pictures of the beautiful scenery~

can you see the TRANSAMERICA PYRAMID building behind me??! it is the tallest skycraper in San Francisco and since thats the last day of my stay there, thats the nearest view I had with the building -_-"

tired of walking, we stop at Pier 5 and have our lunch...since I am quite full that time, so I only had coffee which recommended by the wife of my supervisor cousin :D

Blue Bottle Coffee

oemmgee!! its sooo delish...seriously...so guys if you come to San Francisco, make sure that you try this coffee!!! love it...better than Costa...eh! :p

I cant really remember the exact place of this shop but its at Pier 1 and facing the Golden Gate Bridge Ferry Terminal as the above picture...

right after we had our lunch, we make a move to Japan Center

nothing much to see here...it just shopping mall with the name of Kinokuniya as we have it in Malaysia as well but its a bookstore! haha...and yeah they also have Daiso!! very big!!!

move on, we went to Lombard Street of where the Most Crookedest Road in the world is situated and as I have captured it before clearly from Coit Tower

at first we want to try to use the road to go down to the main road, but since the queue is very long, we cancel it -_-"

and then later I realise that this place is in one of the movie called Playing Cool...haha :D

that marks my last destination in San Franciso :(

around 3pm, I reached San Francisco Airport...

bye San Francisco~~will come again if thats destined for me! ahaks! ^_^
since my visa expired at 2020, need to make sure that at least I used it again but to visit another part of America! :D

Bye~^_^v

Union Square & Chinatown | San Francisco

Assalamualaikum...

the last day of the seminar was on the 28th of March...during the last day of the seminar, we were so focused on the topic being delivered that we didn't left the seminar until the end...after the seminar ended beautifully, I went back to my hotel and the initial plan was to go out and have dinner together with the rest of the team...but since there were so many people having different path with some of them wants to check out from the current hotel and check in in another hotel and so forth, I came to the decision to walk by myself this time...sorry bestie I need to bridge my vows to you! :p hehe

I went back to my hotel and left all my belongings before I embark myself into solo trip around the city...hahaha...since I was sooo keen to go to the Chinatown and no one else wanted to go with me since they have been there the night that I was sick, so I ask the direction from the receptionist at my hotel...he was so kind by giving me the map and he drew the route on the map and even advice me to survey any souvenirs that I want to buy from few shops before I decided to bought them...tq! :)

my first destination was

Chinatown

at first I thought that the Chinatown here is as large as the other Chinatown in London and as well as in Malaysia, but somehow when I reached there, I found it quite big...so when I enter one of the shops there, I ask the aunty how big it is and the facts blow my mind...its 8 blocks away!!! pffttt~~ -_-' haha
since I was having fever, so I only manage to walk only 4 blocks away just to find t-shirts for me and my bestie, Golden Gate Bridge monumen for my bestie and few fridge magnets for my friends...

the view around Chinatown...

since I walked alone, no one to snap my picture, I grab one tourist and him to take my pix...I told that to my bestie and she was quite shocked! haha... >.<

next destination, UNION SQUARE

the square is like Dataran Merdeka or Trafalgar Square in London where this statue is situated and surrounded by these buildings...and the sad part is that I forgot to ask what is the significance of this statue in the middle of the square...

next, since I dont have any proper pix with the Famous Cable Car, so I went to find the last stop of the Cable Car so that I can witness how they turn the Cable Car around...this was told by my colleague when we have a walk on our first day here...since it just a few minutes away from Union Square, I take that opportunity to film it myself :D

at last! great pix with the Cable Car >.<

the do's and don't of the Cable Car

thats how they turn the Cable Car around! now I know it! haha :)

ok, another last post of San Francisco after this! stay tuned...

Bye~^_^v

Fishermans Wharf, Alcatraz & Sea Lion Centre | San Francisco

Assalamualaikum...

please dont get bored with me...I'm still in the mood of San Francisco! not many post left, only 3 more!! haha :p

ok then, right after I went to Coit Tower, we walk around 20 minutes from Coit Tower to Pier 39 or also known as Fisherman's Wharf

the reason why we came here is because this is one of the attraction and the-must-visit place if you come to San Francisco...there are lots of things here to see with the main one would be

Alcatraz

the most famous prison in San Francisco and most probably in the world...until then I didnt know that there is a movie based on truely what happened in this prison in 1980's with the title same as the name of the prison until when I get back home and my bestie told me that...but one of my colleague that had been here told me that none of the prisoner manage to breakthrough from this prison and if they do, they will die either drowning, eaten by shark or freezing since there are lots of sharks there and the sea is freezingly cold....so when I Google about the breakthrough years ago, they still dont know whether the 3 prisoners who manage to breakthrough the prison is still alive or otherwise since there is no record of it...another history check! ^_^v

after hang out here a bit, we walk along the deck to see the sea lion!!!

walk along the deck until...

you can see the Sea Lion Center sign and lottttssss of sea lion resting on the plank platform!!! they are soooo cute... =D

a loooottt of them!!! there were even not enough space for all of them...hahaha...

selfie is a must! haha ^_* (its not a selfie btw, my labmate took it for me, looks like a selfie right? :p)

lets watch the sea lion!!

can you hear the sea lion voice? haha...I manage to capture them! yes! >.<

actually there are other plank platform for them on the other side of where this video were taken, but somehow, they were more concentrated on this side rather than the other and there were only 1 sea lion lying on the other platform resting by his/her own...poor that little fella but on the other hand clever than the rest of these sea lions, having those huge space by her/himself :)

see!!! all alone with huge space~ an introvert sea lion -_-"

after hanging around this area for a while, we went back to Hilton Hotel to join the seminar again...since I was not feeling well plus so tired, we end up taking a bus to go to the hotel instead of walking....pfftt~~ -_-' by the time I arrived infront of Hilton, I felt so dizzy due to the fever and I went back straight to my hotel and rest

thats the best day of my life when I was in San Francisco because eventhough I was down with fever, I manage to go to Coit Tower and as well as Pier 39 for a walk eventhough the distance between these two places was quite far! haha...*patting my shoulder* =D

stay tuned for the next entry before the final entry! Bye~^_^v

Cable Cars, Coit Tower & Golden Gate Bridge | San Francisco

Assalamualaikum...

me and my other 3 colleagues have plan ahead that we want to try the Cable Cars to go to Coit Tower right after my poster presentation =D

while waiting for the Cable Cars ^_^ - super excited!

the Cable Car approaching the stop

inside the Cable Car
the fees is $6 for one ride :)

when first I realise that there was no one infront of the Cable Car navigating it, I was wondering who's controlling the Cable Car until I realise the man in the red hoodie in the middle of the Cable Car ^_^

he is the one controlling it with the break at his feet and a lever at his hand navigating the Cable Car
AWESOME!

the view while riding the Cable Car =D

can you see the road???! thats the road that we need to climb to reach the tower! pfftt~
whenever I watched any movie where the scene is at San Francisco, I alwayz wonder how that feels to climb such a hilly road to reach your destination...now I know how that feels! its tiring tho! -_-"

eventhough you can see as if its sunny in the picture, but actually its quite windy and cold...but in the middle while climbing the road, I need to take off my jacket...im sweating! haha

not only the road, on top of that, we need to climb this stairs to reach the tower...not one, but 2 of the same kind of height! pffttt again~! but, its soooo worth it!

they say that you can see the whole San Francisco from this tower...

(left) part of the whole San Francisco picture that I snap and (right) the Bay Bridge

(left) the famous Alcatraz prison and (right) the famous Golden Gate Bridge

as well as this road (after I zoom it) they call it as The Most Crookedest Road in the world ie Lombard Street

my plan is to go near to the Golden Gate Bridge as near that I went for the Bay Bridge, but somehow its quite far from our area which took us around 1 hour by bus...and since there is no one had the vision same as me, and people who knew me would know how bad I am with direction plus my bestie already advice me in advance not to do anything that will put me in trouble, so I had to cancel my plan...so thats the nearest view I had with Golden Gate Bridge ^_^v

infront of Coit Tower >.<

it was nice indeed to experience myself San Francisco view from this tower...I could see the whole town of it from here...till we meet again somehow-someday-maybe Coit Tower!

Bye~^_^v
