Chemistry Lab + Cafe, Section 7, Shah Alam

Assalamualikum...

right after the photoshoot session at Lorong Belakang at Section 7, I ask my sister to go to a cafe which one of my lecturer keep posting it on FB! it drives me crazy when people post something about cool & deli cafe! >.<

since I dont know Shah Alam area that much, so I use Google Maps...hehe...its very near from the site where Lorong Belakang situated...

this is what attract me the most! they use this "radioactive barrel" as a table outside of the cafe...so cool~ :)

as a usual cafe, they have quite a simple menu...

  

they also have pasta and other menu~

so these were the dishes that we bought...

  

I bought 2 cakes and they served it in a pan...but somehow I cant find any connection of this kind of pan with chemistry lab...anyone?? hmmm... :p

Oreo Crepe & Peanut Butter Cake

both are very delicious! I like it! thats the first time that I eat Oreo Crepe...love it~ 

and for the drinks, I bought Chemical Reaction

nice tho~ so rich and they served it in a real flask! fuhhh~~ I know how much this flask cost because usually it will be very expensive...cant imagine if the staffs keep broken it...hahaha

and Ice Cream Latte

just nice...cant say much but this is the first time I drink caffeinated beverages with ice cream on top >.< haha...and for this one, they served it in a beaker...unique idea!

overall on the food I can say its very delicious however its quite pricey for me...for a slice of cake, it costs you RM11.00 which is far more expensive than Secret Recipe...phew~ anyway its just for the sake of testing it ^_^v

BUT the service is tooooo slow!! and they need to improve interms of their order method...the staff keep carrying around the order for example the drinks and ask each table whether that drinks belong to them which is not nice! for me its better if they numbered the table so will be easier for them to deliver the order OR make a system like Starbucks where the customers redeem their order at the redemption counter (as I call it so)...hope they improve on that matter...aside from that, I like the view, the deco and especially the food!

oh, the total damage was RM48.30 (yaa~~ I know -_-")

Yesterday at last I manage to go to one of my bucket list place-to-go before I fly!! yeay!!! ^_^v

I have been here before last month but since I was rushing that time, so I dont have time for photoshooting...but this time, while my sis & my small niece were busy shopping, me and my big niece we were busy photoshooting~~I am soooo happy!~ ^_*'

there are soooo many other artworks but I just took the one that I like the most! hehe...I love all the pix so much~ think I can use all the pix as my desktop background and keep change it every day until I am bored...haha :p

will be better without all the bags on my shoulder and my hand...but cant take it off every time I took the pix right? will be such a hassle to do so...kah3! >.<

Khatam Quran Event | My Bro, Niece & Nephew

Assalamualaikum...

Last two weeks I was so busy preparing for one of the biggest event that will be held in my family which was Khatam Quran ^_^ and the other biggest event will be held insyaAllah very very the sooooonnn~~ =D

the event was held in my house and yet we were quite worry as well because my house is quite small and our invitation was for about 150 people...but Alhamdulillah, everything went smoothly~

the event is actually a combination of Khatam Quran of my brother, my niece and my nephew...dont ask me why am I not included in the list! :p plus with thanksgiving prayer and Tahlil...

the event started around 11am and ended around 6pm! fuh~~ -_-"

the best part is that we cook the dishes by ourselves! @_@ 

lets have a peak view of the event! ^_^v

the setup! all done by my sister including the door gift! phew~

oh btw the stand for the door gift is ours...interested to RENT can call me...hew...hew  :D

the foods~

Chicken Curry, Carrot + Cauliflower vege, banana and few side dishes

right after the Khatam Quran, the guests were served...Alhamdulillah they said that its very deli~ :D

the highlighted person in this event also included my nephew since one of the main objective of helding this event is for his circumcision...

looking at this picture makes me realise how big they are now and how younger looking I am~ hehe

the next day, my sister brought my nephew for the circumcision at a private hospital in Klang and he stayed with me until the end of this week...

after the Khatam Quran ended, I was sooooo busy entertaining all the guests that I forgot and so lazy to take pictures...Alhamdulillah, all the guests that we invited came and my house was so full with humans that I dont realise at all that we can organise such a big event like this in my house...hehehe...

thanx to all the guests! miss the event already as this event was the opportunity for me to meet all my relatives before I went back to UK insyaAllah this month...for sure we will meet again later in the other big event  that will be held soon~ ^_^"

[Part 2] Step by Step Studying Abroad - Medical Check-up & IELTS

this post is the continuation from my Part 1 on Funding & Applying to University...I suppose to talk about Visa application & TB test...however, some people ask me to post on medical check-up & IELTS and so I skip that part to a later time =D


IELTS


among all the steps in studying abroad, IELTS is the most debating topic ever! some people took IELTS exam after they have secured their funding, some took it before they even apply for any funding and some took it even before they realise that they want to study abroad (ok, latter part is not true >.<)

since I am sharing my own experience, I will tell you when did I sit for IELTS and the process to it...I don't know exactly when to sit for IELTS exam but for sure this is what I did...some people might not agree with me but this is my opinion

I sat for my IELTS before I secure any funding for studying abroad...I was targeting MARA, thus before the application opens in May (If I'm not mistaken), I wana make sure that I have my IELTS result with me thus it will be easier for me to get unconditional offer (UO) from university which will help me to get MARA (because MARA prioritize candidates with UO first)...once I sat IELTS and I get the result, I apply to the university...it's important to have your IELTS result with you when you are applying to the university because thats one of the documents that is needed in order for you to get UO (can you see the relationship? university wants IELTS for you to get UO and MARA prioritise UO candidate) thats my math!

steps of applying IELTS:

I register for IELTS at IDP by walk-in...but now you can book your appointment and pay thru online which is more feasible! To book and pay, click here

you can read every information on IELTS in this website...once you know which type of IELTS that your university require, then you can proceed with the booking and preparation for IELTS

there are even Free IELTS Practice Tests  provided in this website for each elements in IELTS ie Listening, Writing, Reading and Speaking together with other preparation that is necessary for the test...do explore the website for more information!

the available test dates are also being displayed on the right hand side panel...

THE FEES & OTHER DOCUMENTS??

I am not so sure if this time they need you to download the form, fill-in the form and bring it together with you during the appointment since thats what I need to do last year...therefore, you can get the form by clicking here

MEDICAL CHECK-UP


so once you have got your MARA conditional offer, they will ask you to download lots of documents from the website...among the documents, you can start with medical check-up...which hospital that you can go to for your medical check-up isn't stated in MARA website or in the guideline...however, all KPJ are eligible for that and certain private hospital but which private hospital that MARA accept, you can go to that hospital and ask first...if they don't, then better go to KPJ since there are lots of KPJ hospital around...

since I applied MARA twice. so last year I went to Pusat Perubatan Islam Az-Zahrah at Bangi which cost me RM214 and this year I went to KPJ Tawakkal and this time around it costs me RM236 both with an x-ray test (Az-Zahrah provide an x-ray film while KPJ is in cd form), blood test, HIV test, urine test and consultation with the doctor...there is no specific reason why I change it this year, it just that KPJ is nearer to my house which I dont realise it last year...lolz!

MARA will need 2 medical reports from the doctor, 1 for them and another for you to keep it...so make sure that they provide you with 2 copies of the medical report
